Jeff and I decided to take the girls to Lake Tahoe for the day so that they could experience snow! It was the first time Samantha had ever had chance to play in it (the only other time she'd been to the snow, she was 8 months old) and Madison, of course, had never been! The 2hr. drive up was uneventful since both of them napped most of the way, thank goodness. Our destination was a snow park just past Sierra-at-Tahoe.com, and when we arrived we were surprised to find that the park was practically empty. After bundling the kids up, which Madison was not happy about, and eating lunch, we grabbed the sleds and "hit the slopes"! Jeff took the first few rounds of sledding only after I promised to do my fair share later. Samantha, as always, was apprehensive. Madison, ever the dare devil, loved every single ride! In between rounds down the hill, we made a snowman and snow angels, threw snowballs, and generally had a great time. Here are a few pics from the day...
