Catchin' Up

Ok, I started a blog and I've been terrible about keeping up with it...geesh! I had a nice quiet Thanksgiving at my parents house. Jeff was working and my in-laws were all in Disneyland. I dropped the girls off with my mom and dad then went to the movies by myself. Heaven I tell ya, heaven! I saw Pride & Prejudice and absolutely LOVED it!!! On Friday I went to see Harry Potter with my sister, we have a standing date for all the HP movies. It was fantastic!! I can't remember the last time I saw a movie, and to have seen 2 in one weekend was just bliss! I needed a little "me" time.

Now starts the preparation for Madison's big First Birthday party. She won't actually be 1 until Dec. 24th but we decided to have it early to make it easier on everyone. I've got the invitations all ready to go out in the mail tomorrow...34 invites!!! We could have as many as 85 people here, ugh! Realistically I bet we'll get 50-ish...still a lot if you ask me. The Birthday Girl is clueless, but Samantha at 2 and a half totally gets what birthdays are all about! She's been singing "Happy Birthday" to Madison for the last few days. It's so CUTE!!

Oh, I almost forgot...I got a new camera!!! I am just thrilled...a Canon digital Rebel xt!!! I am still in shock, I was floored when Jeff agreed to let me order it, although it is my Anniversary/Christmas gift all in one but that's fine by me!!! I love this thing, I don't know a tenth of what it can do but I'm having a blast learning to use it! I've been snapping off pictures like a mad woman, I've taken more shots in the last few days than I have in the last month! Here are a few of my favorites so far...
