I am a child of...

...my parents! As a teen I always swore I'd never be like them...well I've recently come to realize that my parents weren't so bad after all! Someday when I'm all grown up I hope I'm lucky enough to end up like they did!

A Few Things I Inherited From Mom & Dad:
  • balance a checkbook to the penny
  • loading a dishwasher (there's always room for more!)
  • making a bed (fold and tuck, not stuff)
  • mark the front of bill envelopes with the date it's due
  • the way I fold clothes (although I still can't fold sheets like she does LOL!)
  • to always give the benefit of the doubt
  • be proud of the work you do
  • make time for friends, hobbies, life
  • a love of country music and the outdoors
  • a good book is better than tv anyday of the week

I am too a child of my mom. I married a man just like my dad. I grew up to be my mother. Help me!

Oh my! That day we wake up and realize we are our parents! I'll never forget the day I looked at picture of my brother and me. It wasn't posed, so no false smiles. My God! It was my mother and father staring back at me! LOL! But with that, we also inherit the things they've taught us and values. Sounds like your parents would be very proud of you, Amy! Oh, and your banner is BEAUTIFUL!

i love what you have learned from your parents. What a great childhood you must have had. If only all our children could learn the same!

Those are really great things to take away from your mom and dad. Made me think of things I have taken away from my Mom!
