My guilty, delicious, neurotic pleasure!

I'm not a huge chocolate lover...I'll pass on chocolate cake, chocolate milk, chocolate cookies. But I simply cannot live without my Hershey's Kisses, must be the plain ones, though maybe the almond ones if I'm feeling spunky. I buy them in bulk if at all possible, I'm talkin' 2lb. bags...pure bliss! I eat them by the handful and am slightly neurotic about it. I'm almost embarrassed to explain my process. I generally eat them 5 at a time (don't ask, I don't know why) and if it's a time of year when they come in beautiful, colorful wrappers then I have to have one of each color. Again, don't ask...I can't explain, I warned you it was slightly neurotic. Oh, and when the current batch is almost gone I have to eat them in a way that keeps the colors even. Hang on, the OCD gets worse...I figure out which color is in the minority then eat all the others until there is an even amount of each color (I'm the same way with M&M's, of course). There's more to this insane process, but I'll spare you the sordid details.

The downside to all of this? The empty wrappers. I have a habit of leaving them on the counter, on the desk, on the table...I try, really I do, to put them in the garbage but either I get distracted (wonder how that happens with two kidlets running around?) or I just don't realize I'm doing it. Kinda like a smoker flicking the ashes off a cigarette (by the way--I do not smoke nor have I ever. I don't promote the disgusting habit, just using it as an example. Relax.) There is a repercussion, it drives Jeff batty. I mean he really can't stand it, gets down right mad. That's when I have to take a short hiatus ::sigh:: So when I get my next fix, all will be right in the World of Amy again! Luckily I just bought a bag today...I'm a happy camper (note to self: throw these wrappers away.)
