Another camping trip under our belts! This time we went with our friends T and H (T, the husband, works with Jeff) and their two kids, A and N, who are very close in age to Samantha and Madison. All four kids get along so well and have such a great time together. This was also the first trip with our dog, Megan, who did great (I have to admit I was a little worried.)
We arrived Friday afternoon and got both trailers set up and ready to go since T and H wouldn't arrive until later that evening. Luckily, it looked like the weather this trip was going to be perfect! While Jeff took a nap I took the girls for a walk then stopped to feed the goats and ducks. After dinner, we sat around the campfire waiting for the B Family to arrive...when they did chaos broke out!! The kids were running around like crazy, so excited to see each other and to be camping. The guys unloaded the car while H and I kept watch on the kids. It took awhile but finally the kids tuckered out and all four went to bed. Finally the adults were able to sit down, have a drink, relax and catch up. Saturday was full of playing at the playground, taking walks, feeding the animals and playing at the beach. We had such a good time, especially the kids. By the end of the day they were pretty worn out and after baths they went to bed. Once again, T and H, and Jeff and I sat around talking and joking. Strangely, Sunday morning we woke up to rain. So it was a good thing that after breakfast we were heading back home.
