Happy Birthday...

Happy Birthday to me! It ended up being a pretty low-key day which was fine with me. First thing in the morning the girls gave me their cards and presents as well as some flowers, too cute! Jeff went to bed shortly after the "festivities" and the girls and I had a fairly normal morning. Once Madison went down for her morning nap I jumped in the shower...only to have Samantha inform me a few minutes later that Grandma was here. Ugh. I grab a towel and answer the door, letting my mother-in-law in. After telling her that Madison and Jeff were sleeping and Samantha was watching tv, I got back in the shower. She stayed for awhile playing with Samantha then Madison after she woke up, leaving when I started lunch for the girls. Once they finished eating, we loaded up in the car and headed over to drop Madison off at my Dad's so Samantha and I could go to the movies! We saw "Over the Hedge" and it was Samantha's first in theater movie...I think I was more excited than she was! She did ok, but got nervous and wanted to leave during the suspenseful parts but I convinced her that it would be ok. She looked too darn cute sitting there with her bag of popcorn in her lap just munching away! After the movie we went back to my parent's house for a BBQ dinner...marinated flank steak, baked potatoes and broccoli -- YUMMY! Jeff was able to join us for dinner before having to go to work which was nice. So a good day all in all!
